Dave Godowsky

Godowsky

Dave Godowsky's debut album "All You Love Is Need" was released under the pseudonym John Shade in 2010. It received praise from the likes of Billboard ("sublime"), Boston Globe ("literate and heartstring-tugging"), Brooklyn Vegan ("brilliant"), and other media outlets that begin with the letter B. Instead of pursuing a songwriter's career however, Godowsky opted for one behind the scenes, doing A&R/Management for bands including Ween, Against Me!, Speedy Ortiz, Heartless Bastards, Delta Spirit, Ben Kweller, Martha Wainwright, Son Volt, and Field Report. He has since abandoned the pseudonym and lives in Brooklyn, NY, where he continues to work with several of the aforementioned artists while writing songs and painting in his basement.
